Hartford Man Possessed 180 Grams Of Crack, Weapons: Police
Police arrested a city man on charges that he possessed 180 grams of crack cocaine as well as illegal weapons.

HARTFORD, CT — A recent police investigation resulted in recovery of a stole gun with 28 rounds of ammunition and 180 grams of crack cocaine. Detectives from Vice and Narcotics along with officers from multiple local and federal police agencies conducted the street level narcotics operation.
The efforts resulted in the arrest of Xavier Clinton, 30, of Hartford, who was charged with possession of a pistol without a permit, weapons in a motor vehicle, possession of an extended magazine, as well as various narcotics and motor vehicle violations.
Police said they received confidential information about an individual selling of large quantities of narcotics and possessing a firearm.

Police located the suspect in a surveillance operation. When they converged, the suspect drove the wrong way on a one-way street, then fled on foot. Police captured the suspect who attempted to discard a firearm, according to a police statement.
