Hartford: More Gun Violence Reported
Heavy-bleeding victim was shot in leg early Wednesday morning outside Hartford nightclub.
HARTFORD, CT — Two days after city and police leaders decried the type of gun violence that has been afflicting Hartford and the nation, another gun incident took place early Wednesday morning.
According to the BreakingNowCT Twitter feed at about 1:53 a.m., a gunshot victim appeared to have been shot in the leg near 145 Newfield Ave.
That is the location of the parking lot for the Favela nightclub, reports BreakingNowCT.

Reportedly, the victim required a tourniquet to stop "heavy bleeding," according to the report, with advanced life support requested.
The incident comes nearly two days after Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin and Hartford Police Chief Jason Thody decried an apparent epidemic of gun violence in the city and nationally, violence often tied to the availability of guns and personal disputes.

The duo's news conference Monday came in the way of a Sunday night, double-homicide in which a man and a woman were shot and killed in their apartment building over a dispute regarding a dog, orphaning their newborn infant.
