Hartford Obituary: Beverly Bernstein-Prass, 80

Beverly Bernstein-Prass of West Hartford, formerly of Windsor and Bloomfield, passed away on June 29, 2017 peacefully at the Hebrew Home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Hartford to the late Samuel and Ida (Zetoff) Bernstein and graduated from Weaver High School’s class of 1955. Beverly raised her family in Bloomfield and later moved to Windsor when she remarried. She loved life and loved to travel, dance, go to synagogue and spend time with family and friends.

She leaves behind her devoted husband Frederick Prass of Windsor, her sons, Steven Friedman and his children Miguel and Maya of San Rafael, CA and Scott Friedman and his wife Amy and their children Jaden, Shain and Cameron of Newton, MA. She also leaves behind her stepsons Christopher Prass and his daughter Cynthia and Philip Prass as well as her brother Arnold Bernstein and her sister-in-law Heidi Quine.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, July 2nd at 11 a.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor; followed by interment at the Wolkowysker Society in Hartford. Beverly’s family will be receiving family and friends following the burial at Temple Beth Hillel in South Windsor.
