Hartford Obituary: Elizabeth Idlett, 95

Condolences to her family and friends.

Elizabeth M. (Wright) Idlett, 95, of Hartford, beloved wife of the late Eugene Idlett, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017.

Born in Sylvester, GA, daughter of the late Rev. Dennis Willis and Ethel (Greene) Wright, she lived most of her life in Albany, GA moving to Hartford because of declining health 14 years ago, where she was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church. She was a professional seamstress and very active in her home church, Friendship Baptist Church, where she served as secretary for 16 years and on the Usher Board. She was married to the late Eugene Idlett for 49 years before his death in 1992.

She leaves two daughters Esther E. Wright of Hartford and Carmen Renee Idlett of Albany, GA; three siblings Rev. Samuel Wright (Florence) of Marlborough, Rev. Joseph Wright of Cleveland, OH, and Deloris Tilley (Rev. Henry Tilley) of VA; grandchildren Marcelino and his former wife Sonia and Carmen Renee Idlett; great grandchildren Ericka Wright, Heather Wright, and Jeremy Idlett (Christyal); great great grandchildren Cyngzton Eric Idlett and Daycian Jeremy Idlett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by siblings, Aldee, Rev. Eugene, Ulysee, Rufus, Earlis, Arthur, Wilbert and Joel Wright, Henrietta Wright-Tucker, and Gracie B. Deshazer.

Her family will receive friends Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 10-11 am followed by a funeral service at 11 am at Hopewell Baptist Church, 280 Windsor Avenue, Windsor. The Rev. David L. Massey will officiate. Burial will be Friday, June 30, 2017, 11am in Riverside Cemetery, Albany, GA.
