Hartford Obituary: Garnett Henry, Jr., 10

Garnett G. Henry, Jr., 10, of Hartford, beloved son of Michelle Davis and the late Garnett G. Henry, Sr., passed away peacefully on Friday, January 6, 2017.

Born in Hartford, he was a student at MLK Elementary School in Hartford and attended Rehoboth Church of God in Bloomfield. Garnett loved playing video games, basketball, music and dancing. He had a happy, uplifting spirit and relished in making others laugh with his jokes, but his family was most important. He loved his brothers and sisters and would do anything to help out at home. An exceptional young man, he will be dearly missed.

Besides his mother Michelle Davis, he is survived by his stepfather Trescott Senior; his brothers, Andre Brown and Naziah Senior; his sisters, Crystal McLean, Moesha Henry and Ashaya Henry; his grandmothers, Nerissa Frances and Hyacinth English; his Godmother Sandra Clahar; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, January 20 at the Rehoboth Church of God, 1170 Blue Hills Ave Bloomfield, followed by burial in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. His family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 9 AM to 11 AM.
