Hartford Obituary: Jasun Reddick, 37

Jasun T. Reddick or “Kiss” as he was affectionately known, 37, of Hartford, passed away on Friday January 20, 2017.

He was born in Hartford on November 9, 1979 to Agnes D. Lindsey and Jason T. Reddick Sr. Jasun attended the Hartford School system and received his diploma. Jasun was recently employed by the Hartford Courant.

He had a great spirit and sense of humor. His laugh could make you laugh when you didn’t want to. He enjoyed collecting the latest sneakers and loved listening to music with his friends. He loved his family and was always there for them, but most of all he loved being a father to “JJ” his only child. He will be greatly missed by all he ever touched but never forgotten.

Jasun is survived by his son Jasun Javon Reddick “JJ”, mother Agnes D. Lindsey of Harford, father Jason T. Reddick Sr. of North Carolina, maternal grandmother Sarah Thompson of Bloomfield, significant other LaShawn Times of Hartford, 2 brothers; Kenneth Reddick and Joel Everything Reddick, of Hartford, 2 sisters Candice Thompson and Mecca Lattimore-Lewis both of Atlanta, GA. His very special nephew Keni’y T. Reddick. He also leaves 10 aunts, 9 uncles, 6 nephews , 1 niece; totaling over 100 1st, 2nd and 3rd cousins. He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Judge Thomson Sr., paternal grandparents Susie Slappy and Denver Reddick. 5 aunts, 3 uncles and several close friends. He was loved greatly by his cousins James Anthony Wortham, Lester Hicks, Kirsey Mckenzie, Tasha Thompson, Porscha Jackson, Albert Branch, Randy Smith, Larry J. Smith and many more. His aunts Balynda Thompson, Doreen Booth, Ann Smith-Thompson all loved him dearly.

Calling hour will be Saturday, Jan. 28 from 9:30 to 11 a.m., followed by a celebration of life at 11 a.m. at the Howard K. Hill Funeral Services (Henry L. Fuqua Funeral Service), 94 Granby Street, Bloomfield.
