Hartford Obituary: Josephine Carmody

Condolences to her family and friends.

Josephine T. Carmody (Tenero), of Suffield, beloved wife of the late George F. Carmody, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 at the Suffield House.

Born in Suffield, daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria Tenero, she had lived in Hartford from 1942 moving back to Suffield in 1995, Josephine enjoyed playing cards, bowling and golfing. As one of eight children she had many nieces and nephews whom she enjoyed spending time with.

She leaves three special nieces and nephews and their families; Robert Raconne and his wife, Barbara of Windsor Locks, Roberta McCarthy and her husband, John of Enfield, Joseph Raccone and his wife, Diane of Chaplin. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a brother, Charles Tenero and her six sisters, Anna Raccone, Amelia Hill, Wanda Macsisak, Helen Lucas, Jennie Tenero, Laura Troy.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Suffield House for their compassion and expert care over the past year. Also many thanks to staff at Suffield by the River and Suffield Watch over the many previous years of residence.

Family and friends may gather Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 9:00 AM, at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. N. (Rt.159), Suffield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 AM, at Sacred Heart Church, Suffield. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
