Hartford Obituary: Nellie Hunt, 77

Nellie N. Hunt, 77, of Hartford, departed this life on Wednesday, September 6, 2017.

She was born in Lake City, SC on October 20, 1939 to the late Frank and Martha (Epps) McNair. Nellie worked for Pratt & Whitney for more than 17 years. She retired from the City of Hartford as a school crossing guard after 39 years of service.

Nellie leaves to cherish her memory, sons, John Hunt of Hartford; Sherman Hunt of Rutland, VT; daughter Renee M. Hunt of Middletown; brothers, Eli McNair (Curtis) of Bridgeport; Frank McNair (Edest) of Fort Lauderdale, FL; three grandchildren, one great grandchild. Besides her parents she was also predeceased by her brothers, Sam McNair, Bennie Graham.

Services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 11 a.m. at the Howard K Hill Funeral Services (Clark Bell & Bell Funeral Home), 319 Barbour Street, Hartford, with a calling hour from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
