Hartford PD Busts Accused Fentanyl Dealer At City Apartment Building: Police
The HPD last week confiscated thousands of dollars and 1,900 'sleeves' of the addictive narcotic.

HARTFORD, CT — City police this week announced the recent bust of an accused fentanyl dealer in Hartford, confiscating thousands of sleeves of the narcotic.
According to the Hartford Police Department, Damian Rosa, 26, of Hartford, was charged with possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell, and operating a drug factory last Thursday, Jan. 23.
Police said that's when members of the Hartford Police Department Vice and Narcotics Unit executed a search and seizure warrant at 229 New Britain Ave., a multi-family residence, following an investigation into illegal narcotics activity.

"During the course of the investigation, detectives determined that fentanyl and crack cocaine were being sold from within the apartment," wrote the HPD in a release this week.
"The execution of the warrant resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of narcotics and U.S. currency.

Seized evidence included:
• 1,900 sleeves of fentanyl
• 3 grams of unpackaged fentanyl
• 2 grams of crack cocaine
• $1,078 in U.S. currency
The HPD cited the "excellent work" of police officers and detectives assigned to the probe.
"Their continued efforts play a critical role in disrupting drug distribution networks and improving quality of life in Hartford neighborhoods," wrote the HPD.
