Hartford PD To Conduct Drunk Driving Checkpoint Thursday

The enforcement operation will be from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Albany Avenue.

HARTFORD, CT — The city's police department has announced it will be looking for drunk/drugged drivers in the city today (July 21).

The department's traffic division said it will be operting an "Operating Under the Influence Enforcement Checkpoint" form 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. in the area of 1081 Albany Ave.

This enforcement event is part of the department's ongoing OUI enforcement initiative and it will be supervised by the department's traffic division.

Police said the enforcement operation is being funded through a grant from the state of Connecticut's Department of Transportation OUI Enforcement Program.
