Hartford PD To Have Drunk Driving Checkpoint

Checkpoint will be Thursday evening into early Friday morning.

HARTFORD, CT — Local police Thursday night will be on the looking for drunk or drugged drivers at a special checkpoint to be set up.

According to the Hartford Police Department, officers will have an operating under the influence enforcement checkpoint from 5 p.m. Thursday to 1 a.m. Friday near 620 Wethersfield Ave.

Police said the checkpoint is part of the department's ongoing OUI enforcement program.

It is being supervised by the HPD's traffic division and funded via a grant from State of

Connecticut Department of Transportation's OUI Enforcement Program.
