Hartford Police Chief Disciplined For Car Crash

Hartford Police Chief Jason Thody is facing disciplinary measures after he crashed his department-issued vehicle in May.

HARTFORD, CT — Mayor Luke Bronin announced that police Chief Jason Thody will not be suspended in connection with a crash involving his department-issued vehicle in May, NBC CT reported. However, Thody will be required to pay the city $3,324.66 for repairs to the vehicle and a letter of reprimand will go in his file.

According to a 911 call, a person reported Thody was driving erratically in Chester. Thody then scraped his car against a guardrail on Route 154.

Bronin said he was concerned about the crash but had not lost faith in Thody, according to NBC CT.
