Hartford Police To Conduct DUI Checkpoint, Find Out Where
Hartford police will conduct an OUI enforcement checkpoint Thursday evening into the early morning hours of Friday.
HARTFORD, CT — Hartford police will conduct a driving under the influence (DUI) enforcement checkpoint Thursday evening as part of an ongoing effort targeting impaired driving.
The Hartford Police Department's Traffic Division said the checkpoint is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 10, from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday, Sept. 211, in the vicinity of 401 Flatbush Ave.
Police announced the location and hours in advance on Wednesday.

The checkpoint is part of the department's expanded DUI enforcement program and will be supervised by the HPD Traffic Division, according to police.
The initiative is funded through a grant from the Connecticut Department of Transportation's OUI Enforcement Program.

Hartford police urged motorists to plan and avoid driving while impaired.
"Drive sober or get pulled over," the department said. "Plan ahead and make responsible choices."
