Hartford Police To Hold Impaired Driving Checkpoint This Week
Hartford police will run the checkpoint from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
HARTFORD, CT — The Hartford Police Department will conduct an operating under the influence (OUI) enforcement checkpoint on Thursday, March 19, as part of an effort to deter impaired driving.
The checkpoint is scheduled to run from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. early Friday, March 20, in the vicinity of 608 Wethersfield Ave., according to a department announcement.
Police said the initiative is overseen by the department’s Traffic Division and is funded through a grant from the Connecticut Department of Transportation OUI Enforcement Program.

Officials said the checkpoint is part of ongoing efforts to improve roadway safety and reduce impaired driving across Hartford.
