Hartford Police Planning Impaired Driving Checkpoint
Part of the HPD's ongoing anti-drunk driving campaign, it will be in operation Thursday evening into early Friday morning.
HARTFORD, CT — City police Thursday will, once again, be out looking for drunk/impaired drivers as part of an ongoing campaign to battle the problem.
The Hartford Police Department's traffic division will have an "operating under the influence" checkpoint on Thursday, Feb. 9, from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 10.
The checkpoint will be located in the area of 1200 Park St., Hartford police said.

This is one tool among many the department is utilizing as part of an ongoing OUI enforcement campaign, plice said.
Supervising the program is the HPD Traffic Division, with funding coming from a grant from the state of Connecticut's Department of Transportation OUI Enforcement Program.
