Hartford Police Seek Public's Help Finding Missing 36-Year-Old Man

Hartford police have issued a Purple Alert for Whakeen Balil Meyers, who was reported missing on June 10.

HARTFORD, CT — Hartford police are asking for the public's help locating a 36-year-old man who was reported missing after leaving a Hartford care facility and failing to return.

The Hartford Police Department said Whakeen Balil Meyers was last seen leaving Maple Leaf Manor on Wednesday, June 10, at approximately 7 p.m. Meyers told staff he was going to Westfarms Mall but did not return, according to police.

A Purple Alert has been issued.

Police said Meyers is not considered a threat to himself or others but requires medication.

Meyers is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black jersey with white designs, blue jeans, a black cap, and black shoes.

Anyone with information about Meyers' whereabouts is asked to contact the Hartford Police Department at 860-757-4297. Those with time-sensitive information should call 911.
