Hartford Restaurant Group Faces Tough Times
A restaurant group that employs 700 people is looking for ways to retain staff during the spread of coronavirus.
HARTFORD, CT — Hartford Restaurant Group is facing a shutdown of all operations, as dine-in restaurants across the state will be forced to close to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The Hartford Business Journal reported that the restaurant group, which operates nine Wood-n-Tap restaurants and Southington's Que Whiskey Kitchen, has roughly 700 employees across the state.
Co-owner Phil Barnett said that they're trying to find ways to retain staff during the spread of the epidemic.
Gov. Ned Lamont announced Monday an indefinite ban on gatherings of more than 50 people, which will result in the closure of movie theaters, casinos, gyms, restaurants, bars, and other businesses.
