Hartford Schools To Be Supplied With Narcan: Report
The school district made the move after fentanyl exposure resulted in a student's death last week.

HARTFORD, CT — The school district has announced that it will now supply all school nurses with Narcan, a medication used to save a person's life in the event of an opioid overdose, according to NBC Connecticut. The move comes after a 13-year-old boy died after ingesting a lethal dose of the drug while in school.
Students returned Wednesday to Sport and Medical Sciences Academy for the first time since the deadly fentanyl exposure, which also affected two other students. Police believe that one of the three students exposed were responsible for bringing 40 bags of the deadly drug to school, according to NBC CT.
A week after the incident, police are still trying to identify the original source of the fentanyl.
