Hartford Stadium Authority Terminates Developer, Construction Company
The still-incomplete Dunkin Donuts Park, future home of the Hartford Yard Goats, has been the center of controversy for months.

HARTFORD, CT - The much-beleaguered new home of the Hartford Yard Goats took another twist Monday, as the mayor of Hartford announced the city is letting the stadium developer and construction company go.
Mayor Luke Bronin said at a press conference, “As of today we are terminating DoNo, LLC and Centerplan."
The stadium was to have been completed in time for the start of the baseball season in April, but numerous delays and cost overruns forced DoNo and Centerplan to push back the home opener until mid-May.

When that deadline came and went without the stadium nearing completion, the Yard Goats, Double-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, began playing home games at Dodd Stadium in Norwich, home of the short-season Single-A Connecticut Tigers.
Bronin disputed the developer's claim that the stadium was 97 percent complete, citing numerous violations found by a building inspector.

"A number of things our inspector found were not done right, were not done to code," Bronin said.
