Hartford Trombone Player Arrested After Noise Complaint

The incident escalated from a noise complaint into an arrest.

HARTFORD, CT — A Hartford street performer who plays the trombone was arrested after an alleged scuffle with police who were sent to investigate a noise complaint.

Isaiah Robinson was playing his trombone Dec. 20 near 811 Main Street when some workers in an office complained that the noise was distracting, according to the Hartford Courant.

Robinson told the Courant he plays his instrument quietly and had talked to police multiple times in the past and didn't feel the need to talk to them again. Police said he broke away from police and damaged the door of a cruiser by kicking it.
