Hartford Yard Goat Receives Eastern League Honor
He becomes the first Yard Goat to win the league's Player of the Week award.

HARTFORD, CT - For the second time this season, a member of the Hartford Yard Goats has won an Eastern League weekly award.
Outfielder Noel Cuevas has been named the league's Player of the Week for the week of July 11-17. Cuevas batted .692 with a home run, three runs batted in and five runs scored this past week.
Cuevas joined the Yard Goats on July 4 and went 13 for 17 with a home run, five RBI and four doubles over his first five games, and 18 for 30 over his first seven games. The Puerto Rico native had three hits in each of his first four games with the team, going 12-16 over that stretch.

Cuevas went 5 for 5 with a home run and scored twice Thursday at Binghamton, and drove in the eventual game-winning run with a pinch-hit single in Sunday’s 7-6 win over the B-Mets.
Cuevas began the season at Albuquerque, the Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies in the Pacific Coast League.
