His victory earned him a recording contract and helped launch a career that has included international touring and multiple album releases.

Known for his self-described “acoustic soul” sound—a blend of R&B, folk, and pop—Colon has released projects including the album Come Through for You and 2016’s Gravity.

Before his television breakthrough, Colon was signed to Capitol Records and performed as a member of the Derek Trucks Band.

He is also a graduate of the University of Hartford’s Hartt School of Music.

Organizers said Colon continues to tour globally and plans to release new music in 2027.

Opening Night at Dunkin’ Park marks the start of the local baseball season.
