Hartford's Parkville Market Plans Expansion

Business at the new food hall has picked up this year, and an expansion into an adjacent building is in the works.

HARTFORD, CT — Parkville Market is looking to expand into an adjacent building on Park Road, according to The Hartford Business Journal. The location could include a fourth bar, a brewery event space, or a wedding venue.

The $5.1 million, 20,000-square-foot hall was nearly complete before the coronavirus pandemic hit and closed businesses across the state in March 2020.

Owner Carlos Mouta said that since the food and entertainment destination opened in summer 2020, business last year wasn't quite as brisk as expected due to the pandemic. However, since March of this year, things have picked up.
