Highway Crash In Hartford Cleared: Update

HARTFORD, CT — A crash on Interstate 84 in Hartford Tuesday morning slowed the morning commute for many motorists who had to navigate a massive traffic jam, but it is now cleared.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the accident was on I-84 east between exits 48 and 49.

As a result of the crash, the right lane of the highway was closed, according to the DOT.

The DOT reported a 3.6-mile traffic backup from exits 43 and 49 due to the accident.

The accident was first reported at 7:15 a.m. and it now no longer listed on the DOT's incident list
