Highway Crash Snarls Holiday Traffic In East Hartford

EAST HARTFORD, CT — Traffic on Interstate 84 is being impacted after a crash on a highway offramp late Friday morning.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the accident was on I-84 East at the Route 2 East ramp at Exit 55.

As a result, the right lane is closed, according to the DOT.

The crash was first reported at 11:45 a.m. and it is "unknown" when the scene will be cleared.
