I-84 Crash Cleared In Hartford: UPDATE

HARTFORD, CT — A two-vehicle crash caused a large traffic jam on Interstate 84 in Hartford Wednesday afternoon, according to the state Department of Transportation, but it is now cleared.

The DOT reports the accident was between exits 48 and 49, resulting in the closure of the right lane.

This, the DOT said, caused a 2.3-mile traffic jam between exits 44 and 48 in that area.

The accident was first reported at 2:57 p.m. and it was reported cleared just before 3:45 p.m.
