I-84 Crash Cleared In Hartford: UPDATE

HARTFORD, CT — A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 in Hartford caused a large traffic jam Friday afternoon, according to the state Department of Transportation, but it has now been cleared.

The DOT reports the three-vehicle accident was on I-84 West between exits 50 and 48, resulting in the closure of the two right lanes.

This caused a 1.8-mile backup in traffic between exits 56 and 48, according to the DOT.

The accident was first reported at 1:38 p.m. and it is now no longer listed on the DOT's incident report.
