Update: I-84 Crash In Hartford Cleared

HARTFORD, CT — One day after Interstate 84 was plagued by multiple crashes in the greater Hartford area, one Friday morning on the eastbound side slowed traffic down again.

That accident, however, has since been cleared according to the state Department of Transportation, which posted via Twitter that it was cleared at 8:59 a.m. Friday.

The accident had closed the left and center lanes of I-84 in Hartford after two-vehicle crashed between exits 46 and 48.

State authorities said the accident had caused a 2.5-mile backup.

The accident was reported at 8:08 a.m.

Thursday, three crashes on I-84 in West Hartford and another in Hartford caused massive headaches for motorists on their morning commutes.
