Update: I-84 Hartford Crash Cleared

HARTFORD, CT — Rainy day traffic on Interstate 84 east was snarled after a two-vehicle crash involving a tractor trailer Monday afternoon.

But that accident, as of 2:51 p.m., has been cleared, according to the state Department of Transportation via Twitter.

According to the DOT, the accident happened between exits 49 and 50 on I-84, resulting in the right and center lanes being closed.

Traffic was backed up about 3 miles into West Hartford, state officials said.

The accident was first reported at 1:59 p.m.
