Two Crashes In Greater Hartford Area Cleared: UPDATE

EAST HARTFORD/HARTFORD, CT — Two separate crashes on Interstate 84 in the greater Hartford area Tuesday afternoon caused traffic nightmares for motorists, but both are now cleared.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the first accident was on I-84 West between exits 58 and 57 in East Hartford, resulting in the two right lanes being closed.

This accident was reported at 3:44 p.m. and it is now no longer listed on the DOT's incident report.

A few minutes later in nearby Hartford, a two-vehicle crash on I-84 West in Hartford further snarled traffic.

This accident was between exits 47 and 46, resulting in the right lane being closed.

The second crash was reported at 3:49 p.m. and it is now no longer listed on the DOT's incident report.
