Update: I-84 Crash That Caused Backup Cleared

HARTFORD, CT — Traffic was backed up on Interstate 84 eastbound after a motor vehicle accident between exits 43 and 48, but that crash has, since, been cleared.

According to the state Department of Transportation's Twitter feed, the disabled vehicle was cleared by about 8:22 a.m.

The DOT said the accident had caused a 2.6-mile traffic jam.

Because of the accident, the right lane was closed, DOT officials said.
