Victim ID'd In Tragic East Hartford Industrial Accident

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

EAST HARTFORD, CT — A Ludlow, Mass. man was killed in East Hartford after he tried to service his propane delivery truck, according to police.

The incident happened in the parking lot of 263 Park Avenue Oct. 29 around 1:15 p.m., police said. The propane truck belongs to E. Osterman Gas Company.

It appears that operator Ronald Bonomo, 58, was trying to perform service under the truck when he became entangled in a vehicle mechanism.

Nearby employees tried to help him and called 911. Bonamo was pronounced dead at the scene.

OSHA responded to the scene and is investigating.
