The child is suffering from "non-survivable" injuries, according to police.

HARTFORD, CT — A six-week-old child is in grave condition at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center, suffering from what police described as "non-survivable" injuries, and the infant's parents have been placed under arrest.

Fox61 reported the child sustained cranial bleeding, rib and clavicle fractures and severe bruising following an early morning incident at the family's Hartford home.

Edwin Babilonia, 23, and Ashley Perez, 20, have each been charged with risk of injury to a minor and cruelty to persons, and are being held in lieu of $500,000 bond apiece. More charges are likely, according to police.
