Liquor Permit Suspended At Hartford Food Market: State

The establishment will not be allowed to sell liquor for one day next month.

HARTFORD, CT — A local food market will have its liquor permit suspended for the day next month due to multiple state violations, according to Connecticut authorities.

The Department of Consumer Protection's Liquor Control Division has announced that Bashner's Market, 1293 Main St., Hartford, will have its liquor permit suspected on Monday, June 17.

In addition, state officials reported, the market has already paide a $2,500 fine.

According to the state's Liquor Control Division, Bashner's was cited for violation of multiple violations related to liquor permit requirements.

Those include package store permit regulations; rules mandating permits be hung in "plain view;" and violations of regulations regarding restrictions related to the sale of alcoholic beverages.
