Local Resident Elected to Wadsworth Atheneum Board

Pedro Bermúdez Joins Board of Trustees of Nation's Oldest Continuously Operating Public Art Museum

Hartford resident Pedro Bermúdez, an Emmy-award winning documentary filmmaker, has been elected to the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art’s Board of Trustees, at the nation’s oldest continuously operating public art museum.

Pedro Bermúdez is a filmmaker working at the intersection of cinema, theater, and immersive media. He has produced Emmy-award winning documentary work for Connecticut Public Television, and recently co-directed a production of Sanctuary City, together with Long Wharf Artistic Director Jacob Padrón. He also teaches virtual production and videography courses at Wesleyan – and manages the Digital Design Commons there.

Through his production company, Revisionist, Bermúdez has collaborated closely with arts and cultural institutions – and completed a series of video installations last year for the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art’s acclaimed Styling Identities exhibit.
