Major Events Slated In Hartford This Weekend
From baseball to concerts to festivals, Hartford on Friday and Saturday will be a happening place, though traffic will be impacted.

HARTFORD, CT — With America and the area celebrating the nation's birthday Thursday, Hartford police are urging motorists to exercise patience and caution on Friday and Saturday, July 5-6.
The Hartford Police Department said traffic throughout the city will be increased due to various holiday weekend events and celebrations on those days.

• Friday, July 5, Hartford Yard Goatsvs. Binghamton Rumble Ponies at 6:30 p.m. at Dunkin Park, 1215 Main St., Hartford.
• Friday, July 5, "Pratt Street Sounds" sponsored by Hartford.com at 5:30 p.m.

• Saturday, July 6, Hartford Yard Goats vs. Binghamton Rumble Ponies at 6:30 p.m. at Dunkin Park, 1215 Main St., Hartford.
• Saturday, July 6, Xfinity Theatre, 61 Savitt Way, Hartford, is hosting an Alanis Morrissette concert at 7 p.m.
• Saturday, July 6, the City of Hartford is hosting 'Hartford Bonanza" at Bushnell Park at 4 p.m. with fireworks later that night.
Police said all of these events will not only impact traffic downtown but traffic in the North Meadows section of the city.
