Male, 15, Shot And Killed In Hartford: Reports

The teen is the second minor to be killed by gun violence in Hartford this year.

HARTFORD, CT — A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed in the city Monday afternoon, a victim of a drive-by shooting, according to reports.

WFSB Channel 3 has identified the boy as being Jordan Luna of Hartford, who was shot and killed on Nelton Way close to 1:30 p.m.

Citing police sources, WFSB reported this was Hartford's 32nd homicide of 2023.

According to Fox 61, this is the second fatal drive-by shooting involving a minor this year, with the prior incident claiming the life of a 12-year-old girl.

This latest fatal shooting comes days after a murder-suicide involving two elderly men on Clark Street, with a 67-year-old shooting and killed a 74-year-old man in a dispute and, then, turning the gun on himself.

It also comes in a year where several fatal shootings have occurred in the city, with several happening over the summer.
