Teen Dies After Being Pulled From Pool: East Hartford Police
According to East Hartford police, the 16-year-old was with others at a closed town swimming pool overnight.
EAST HARTFORD, CT — A teenaged boy is dead after being pulled from a town swimming pool overnight, according to the East Hartford Police Department Thursday morning.
Police have identified the victim as Tresor Boroze, 16, who they said was rushed overnight to the Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford, where he was pronounced dead.
Shortly after midnight, police responded to Terry Pool on a report of juveniles inside the fenced area of the property, police said.

Terry Pool is located in Hockanum Park at 320 High St. It is a 50-meter, Olympic-sized pool with a diving board, high dive and a ramp for accessible entry, according to the town's website.
The pool was closed at the time of the accident.

As police rushed to the scene, officers received information that someone may be underwater, according to the department.
As a result, police jumped the fence and found teens attempting to pull an unresponsive male from the pool, police said.
Police said officers removed the victim from the water and immediately began performing life-saving measures (CPR) until East Hartford Fire Department paramedics arrived and assumed medical treatment.
"At this time, police are treating this incident as a tragic accident," reads the police statement. "Our hearts and thoughts are with Tresor’s family and friends. On behalf of the East Hartford Police Department, East Hartford Fire Department, Ambulance Service of Manchester, and the entire East Hartford community we offer our deepest condolences."
