Man In 20s Shot In Hartford At Midday Monday: Police

Hartford police said the man went to the hospital shortly thereafter.

HARTFORD, CT — City police are investigating a shooting in Hartford at midday Monday, resulting in one man going to the hospital.

The Hartford Police Department is investigating a shooting at 12 Warner St. Ext., which took place at about 12:03 p.m. on Monday.

That's where Hartford Police patrol officers responded to a report of shots fired from citizens.

"Upon arrival, evidence of gunfire was observed. While on scene, an area hospital notified dispatch of a walk-in gunshot victim," wrote the HPD.

Police said the victim was a male in his 20s and he was "alert and conscious upon his arrival."

The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded and assumed the investigation, which "remains active and ongoing."
