Man, 23, Charged In Hartford Shooting Last Month: Police
The Hartford PD said Monday it had charged a New Britain man in connection with a shooting on March 20 in the city.

HARTFORD, CT — Hartford police said Monday, April 7, they had arrested a New Britain man after responding to reports of gunfire on March 20 near Albany Avenue and Woodland Street.
At that time, officers were dispatched following a ShotSpotter activation and multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots in the area.
As a result, Naeshaun Hill, 23, of New Britain, was taken into custody and charged with reckless driving, failure to obey an officer’s signal, interfering with police, and weapons in a motor vehicle.

According to online court records, Hill will appear in Hartford Superior Court April 27.
Police did not release additional details about a juvenile who was also involved.

In Monday's announcement, the HPD released details about the March 20 incident.
According to the HPD, members of the department’s Street Crimes Unit, who were already nearby, saw a gray Infiniti sedan leaving the scene at a high rate of speed.
Police attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver did not comply and continued driving, according to authorities.
The car was later seen traveling the wrong way on Cabot Street, where it was involved in a minor crash.
Both occupants fled on foot and were apprehended shortly afterward without incident, police said.
During the arrest, officers recovered a loaded firearm from a juvenile passenger.
Police identified the weapon as a Glock 22 chambered in .40 caliber with a 15-round magazine containing 14 rounds.
