Man Armed With AR-Style Pistol Arrested At Aetna HQ: PD

An investigation is ongoing, according to Hartford police.

HARTFORD, CT — A man has been arrested after he went to Aetna headquarters in Hartford with an AR-style pistol, according to police.

Hartford police announced Thursday they responded to Aetna headquarters, at 151 Farmington Ave., on a report of a suspicious male.

When police arrived, Aetna’s security had already detained the man, police said.

According to police, the man was carrying a backpack containing an AR-style pistol. They took him into custody without incident.

Denrey Wadlington, 51, address unknown, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass, criminal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of an assault weapon, and possession of a large capacity magazine.

The Hartford Police Department’s Major Crimes, Crime Scene, and Intelligence Divisions responded to the scene, and their investigation is ongoing.
