Man Dead In Hartford Apartment Fire: Reports

The blaze was reported to the Hartford Fire Department early Sunday morning.

HARTFORD, CT — City fire officials are investigating the cause of an early-morning apartment fire in Hartford Sunday that claimed the life of an adult male there.

According to WTNH Channel 8, the fire was first reported to the Hartford Fire Department as a kitchen fire at about 1 a.m., with the fire being contained to just a single unit.

The building impacted, according to WFSB Channel 3, was at 873 West Boulevard, Hartford, with the victim being found later in the apartment.

Officials have yet to identify the victim, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
