Man Found Dead In East Hartford With Bullet Wounds: Police

The East Hartford Police Department is asking for the public's help in gathering information on the case.

EAST HARTFORD, CT — Local police are investigating the circumstances of a man's body being found by the road with a gunshot wound Tuesday night.

The East Hartford Police Department Wednesday released preliminary information about the incident and said they're seeking the public's help in the investigation.

According to the EHPD, officers and fire department paramedics were called at about 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26, to the area of 930 Burnside Ave. for an unresponsive male lying on the side of the road.

"When officers arrived, they located a deceased male, apparently the victim of a gunshot wound," wrote the EHPD Wednesday.

Police said EHPD detectives are investigating this incident, including the circumstances, the identity of the victim, and next of kin information.

"There is no suspect information to release at this time," wrote police.
