Man Shot And Killed In East Hartford: EHPD

The EHPD is still investigating the Sunday shooting.

EAST HARTFORD, CT — Local police Monday morning are still investigating the scene of a fatal shooting Sunday evening that claimed the life of a man in East Hartford.

According to East Hartford Police Department spokesman Marc Caruso Monday morning, officers were called to 217 Burnside Ave. at about 7:56 p.m. Sunday for a report of a person being shot.

"When police arrived, they found an adulte male who was fatally shot," wrote Caruso in a statement issued Monday morning.

Caruso said the EHPD is still unable to release the victim's name.

"The scene is still actively being investigated," he said, adding more information is expected to be released when available.
