Man Struck, Killed by Snowplow in East Hartford

The incident took place in the parking area of an apartment complex on Route 5.

EAST HARTFORD, CT — A man was struck and killed by a snowplow at an East Hartford apartment complex Tuesday afternoon, several media sources reported.

WTNH-TV said it was told by investigators the plow was operated by a private contractor, who was reported to be extremely distraught by the incident and is cooperating with authorities conducting the investigation.

The incident took place in the parking area of the Willow Arms Apartments at 446 Main Street around 3:30 p.m., WFSB-TV reported.

Police have not yet released the identity of the victim.
