Hartford Man Who Sold Drugs In Overdose Death Arrested Again

Yacov Ocasio, aka "C-Low," 23, was found with 150 bags of fentanyl, according to federal authorities.

HARTFORD, CT — A Hartford man convicted of selling drugs to man who died of an overdose was arrested again this week, according to a statement from federal prosecutors. Yacov Ocasio, aka "C-Low," 23, was charged with distributing fentanyl and drug possession with intent to distribute.

Ocasio has been on federal supervised release since May 2019 following his conviction for selling fentanyl/heroin to a 28-year-old Middletown man in August 2016. The man died of a drug overdose. Ocasio was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison.

Between December 2019 and March 2020, investigators conducted seven controlled purchases of fentanyl from Ocasio, according to the statement.

Ocasio was arrested earlier this week at a hotel in Hartford where he was staying. Authorities said he was found with 150 bags of fentanyl.

Ocasio was presented in court via videoconference, and a judge ordered him detained.

The charges against Ocasio carry a maximum prison term of 20 years, and he may face additional charges related to violating the terms of his supervised release.
