Manchester Man Dead After Crash In Hartford: Police
The 31-year-old victim was killed in a single-car crash on Sunday.
HARTFORD/MANCHESTER, CT — A Manchester man died after a single-vehicle crash early Sunday at an intersection in Hartford, authorities said.
Authorities identified the driver as Shahlique Payne, 31, of Arch Street in Manchester.
Officers with the Hartford Police Department were dispatched at about 1:09 a.m. Sunday, March 8, in the area of Elizabeth Street and North Beacon Street, following a report of a crash.

Police said officers found a 2013 Hyundai Sonata that had struck a retaining wall on the west side of the intersection.
The driver suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Hartford police said the department’s Crime Scene Division responded and took over the investigation.
