Manufacturing Training Centers To Open In Hartford
The city is partnering with Goodwin University to open centers to train workers in a variety of manufacturing-related jobs.

HARTFORD, CT — The city and Goodwin University are partnering to open new community manufacturing training centers in Hartford, according to The Hartford Business Journal. Each center will provide city residents with an opportunity to learn manufacturing skills.
The training centers will accommodate 15 to 18 students and are being funded with a $1 million grant. Goodwin University will offer introductory manufacturing-related classes in fields such as CNC machining and quality inspections and computer-aided manufacturing and design.
Mayor Luke Bronin told The Hartford Business Journal that there are "a huge number of jobs available in advanced manufacturing" and that this partnership is intended to bring training for those jobs to Hartford's neighborhoods.
