Mechanic Killed When Car Falls From Lift: UPDATE
A Hartford mechanic has died after a car fell off a lift in what police are calling a tragic accident.

HARTFORD, CT — A mechanic has died after a car fell off a lift onto him Sunday, according to police. Cristian Soto-Carrasquillo, 22, of Hartford, was identified as the victim, according to WTNH.
The incident occurred at a local auto dealership and garage located at 147 Franklin Avenue, police said. The business listed for the address is Gurabo Auto Sales.
Police announced Monday morning that the man had died due to his injuries. The victim's identity has not been released.

Detectives from the department Major Crimes Division were investigating the incident. Police have also notified the state Department of Motor Vehicles and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Police told WTNH the accident was "likely the result of improper/unsecure placement of lift arms."
