Meriden Woman Flees Police In Hartford, Traveling 100 MPH: CSP
The incident happened Monday night on Interstate 84 in Hartford.

HARTFORD/MERIDEN, CT — A Meriden woman is facing multiple motor vehicle charges after police said she fled an attempted traffic stop on Interstate 84 in Hartford, reaching speeds of over 100 miles per hour.
Connecticut State Police said the incident happened Monday night, March 10, on Interstate 84 east in Hartford.
According to police, Natasha Ramos-Bauza, 26, of Meriden, was charged with engaging police in pursuit; reckless driving; improper passing; and failure to maintain proper lane.

Ramos-Bauza was released on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Hartford Superior Court April 1, police said.
According to police, on Monday, March 10, at about 9:46 p.m., troopers from Troop H - Hartford attempted a traffic stop on I-84 east in the area of Exit 46.

Police said the vehicle was traveling at speeds estimated at over 100 miles per hour in a 50-mile-per-hour zone.
Troopers attempted to stop the vehicle using emergency lights and siren and the vehicle failed to stop, police said in a release Tuesday.
As the vehicle continued on I-84 east, troopers were able to obtain the vehicle's registration and learned that it was registered out of Meriden, wrote police.
When contacted, Ramos-Bauza admitted to being the operator of the vehicle at the time of the incident, police said.
"Ramos-Bauza explained that she was scared to pull over and did not want to mess up her criminal record with a ticket," wrote state police.
She was taken into custody without incident and transported to Troop H for processing.
